The Restaurant – Trattoria Il Mulino Di Ferraia

Elizabeth and Marco Ceri

Our Trattoria is situated in the oak beamed mill-pond room restored to create a ‘once-upon-a-time’ atmosphere that is an extension of our home, with antique prints on walls prepared with 4 layers of warm-hued paint and brushed over with log fire cinders to create a lived-in look, an 18th century horse-shoe shaped harvest supper table which seats 30 people, domestic culinary objects of past times, and a huge log fire place where young children inevitably fall asleep while their parents finish their meal.

In summer months it is also possible to eat out under the covered terrace surrounded by the river-flanked garden to the light of candles.

Our recipes are based mostly on traditional Tuscan dishes tinted from time to time with dishes from other Italian regions.
